The Healthy Breakfast Series: Raspberries & Creme Smoothie

Hi guys,

We are back from vacation and it is taking me a little bit to get back into our routine, it is as if my body is back in OKC but my mind still back in sunny Florida.  We had so much fun spending every day at the beach and it is just so hard to get back to reality!  I’m sure that happens to everyone right?? 🙂

It has been super hot in OKC and we have been eating a lot of fresh fruits in the mornings, I love starting my morning with fresh cantaloupe, grapes, and berries, it really makes me happy to eat like that during the summer.  I have also been making smoothies for my boys and this recipe has been a winner at my house.  My boys love it and always ask for more!

This is a great addition to our Healthy Breakfast Series because this smoothie is:

Super sweet

creamy

filling

full of nutrients

beautiful looking

super simple to make

So let’s stop talking and start blending!

Here is what you will need:

  • 1 cup of almond milk (or any other plant-based milk you like)
  • 3 frozen bananas
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1/2 cup of fresh raspberries
  • 1/2 cup of fresh strawberries

Method:

  1. Put the milk and frozen bananas in a high speed blender and blend until smooth
  2. Add the rest of the ingredients and blend until all combined
  3. Serve and Enjoy!

*Note: If you don’t have a high speed blender that can blend the frozen banana, just use fresh bananas instead, it will only change the consistency of the smoothie but the flavor will be the same!

I hope you like this smoothie as much as we did and you are enjoying this series! Make sure to let me know if you are making them and how you like them!

Love,

Yesika
