The Healthy Breakfast Series: Protein Packed Mango Berry Smoothie

Hi guys,

Today’s recipe is packed with protein and I know there are a lot of you out there that are really into protein intake to build muscle, gain weight, or just to stay full longer.  If you are one of those people, this smoothie is for you!

I have to be honest and tell you that I’m not really into protein powders personally.  I have bought several kids and tried them and I only have 2 that I actually like and use every once in a while.  I’m using my favorite one for today’s smoothie from the Sunwarrior brand which you can get here.

The reason why I like this brand is because it is soy free, gluten free, dairy free, vegan, and the one I’m using is actually raw.  One scoop has about 100 calories and 18 grams of protein, and it is very low on sugar.  So all of this make the Sunwarrior Classic Plus Vanilla powder my favorite!

This is a super simple but super flavorful smoothie and it is perfect for breakfast on the go!

Here is what you need:

  • 1 cup of almond milk or any other plant based milk you like
  • 1 1/2 to 2 cups of frozen mangos and berries or you can use 1 cup of fresh mangos and 1 cup of fresh berries
  • 1 scoop of vanilla plant based protein powder

Method:

Blend all the ingredients in a high speed blender until smooth and enjoy!
