The temperatures keep raising and it is getting way too hot where I live, which obviously calls for days at the pool and lots of nice-cream treats! If you are not familiar with the word “nice-cream” it basically means that the ice cream is made with frozen bananas and it gives you the ice-cream consistency without all the nasty ingredients that you find in regular ice-cream.
You might be thinking this could not be good for breakfast but when the ingredients are simple and plant based, you can basically have this at any time of the day! At my house we eat nice-cream all the time and it is fun to make different flavors but so far our favorite is the chocolate chip one that I’m sharing with you.
The key to this recipe is the frozen almond milk cubes which is what gives it a super creamy consistency, so make sure not to skip this step!
Here is what you need:
- 4 Frozen bananas
- 1 Ripe banana
- 4 Almond milk ice cubes
- 1 tbs of vegan chocolate chips
- 1 tbs of Cacao powder
- Splash of almond milk
- Put all ingredients in a high speed blender
- Blend all ingredients using the tamper to help mix until you get a smooth consistency
*If not using a high speed blender just add more almond milk to give it a softer consistency
Add your favorite toppings and enjoy!
