Fall is finally here and with that comes lots of allergies and colds due to the changing weather, specially for the little ones! I always try to incorporate juicing during this time of the year to ensure that we are getting all the vitamins and minerals we need to stay healthy during this time.
My Immune Boosting Carrot Juice is one of my “go to” juices because it is very simple to make, since it only requires 3 types of vegetables, but it is packed with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants!
Here is what you need:
- 12 – 15 Carrots (Full of vitamins, potassium, and betacarotene)
- 5 Celery Stalks (Vitamin K, Vitamin A, & Vitamin C, plus potassium)
- 1 Large Beet (Full of Immune boosting vitamin C)
With the popularity and increased awareness of the health benefits of juicing, there are many types of Juicers to choose from at the store now days, I personally use the Breville Juicer (picture below) because it is one of the most economical options, but regardless of what type of Juicer you have, the most important thing is that you actually get it out and use it! Here is a good article from Food Matters on the different types of juicers and a guide to choosing the best one for you.
This is such an easy juice to make that I try to make it at least twice a week! the hardest part about this recipe is washing the Juicer after!
I hope you give it a try and let me know what you think or if you have any carrot juice recipes you would like to share here!
